Bathing/Showering Guidelines
Before Your Surgery
Showering the night before and the morning of surgery with Chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) has been proven to reduce the risk of infection at the surgical site.
Getting ready for surgery
- You should purchase* Chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) for use before your surgery.
- You should shower with this product the night before your surgery and the morning of surgery.
- Apply a handful to a wet washcloth and wash as you would with regular soap. Rinse thoroughly.
- Avoid contact with eyes, ears and mouth.
